Forever Country: A Candle to Honor Prineville’s Spirit

Forever Country: A Candle to Honor Prineville’s Spirit

Some candles are just about scent. This one is about soul.

Prineville isn’t just a place—it’s a heartbeat. A rhythm of hard work, humble living, and a kind of quiet resilience you can feel in the red dirt and hear in the way the wind moves through the junipers. With the release of Forever Country, I wanted to create more than a candle. I wanted to honor a place and the stories that shape it.

One of those stories is Joe Beltram’s.

I came across a beautiful documentary called A Day in the Life of Joe Beltram—a quiet, powerful glimpse into the life of a Prineville rancher whose legacy continues to ripple outward. Joe’s grandson, Blake Beltram, is someone I had the privilege of working with during my time at Mindbody, the tech company he co-founded. Through Blake, I was introduced to the kind of man Joe was: strong, grounded, wise. The kind of man who didn’t need to speak loudly to make an impact.

The moment I watched Joe’s story, I knew this candle had found its heartbeat.

When I asked Blake what Joe had passed down to him, he shared this:

Family isn’t about everything going right—it’s about who stays with you when things go wrong. You work hard, face struggles, and sometimes disagree, but you don’t give up on each other. That’s the kind of heritage worth leaving behind. Not wealth or property, but love that shows up, stands strong, and never leaves.
Blake Beltram, remembering his grandfather Joe

That is the kind of love and legacy this candle was made to honor.

The scent of Forever Country—grass, eucalyptus, and leather—carries the soul of ranch life and the calm strength of someone who shows up, day after day, for the people and places they love and is hand-poured in Prineville—where Joe lived, worked, and loved.

This isn’t just a candle. It’s a reminder.

A reminder that while the world may feel loud and restless, there is still strength in slowing down. There is power in kindness. And there is beauty in choosing to live a life full of grace, grit, and gratitude.

So light this candle, and let it be a moment of stillness in your day. Let it honor the spirit of Prineville, the legacy of folks like Joe Beltram, and the unshakable truth that peace doesn’t come from control—it comes from presence.
